What the map shows. On paper the yarn comes from Nantong, far from Xinjiang. The registry shows the spinner's parent company also runs a mill in Aksu, Xinjiang, and the spinner can't say where its cotton came from. Customs presumes anything tied to Xinjiang is made with forced labor until the importer proves otherwise.
